I Hear the Sound of War
A few days ago as my husband and I set ourselves aside to hear from the Lord through fasting and prayer I heard the Lord say: “Cry loud, spare not, lift up your voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the Church their sins. Isaiah 58:1
At first, I thought He was just reminding me of the call He had placed upon my life, but that was not the case. I kept hearing the same thing for days…”Cry loud… Then He added several more words to that Word and I knew it was a word for the Church. For about three days now I’ve been hearing an old 60’s song in my spirit: “Something happening here. What it is ain’t exactly clear; we better stop, what’s that sound, everybody look what’s going down.” After inquiring of the Lord I realize it is a sound of “spiritual” war. We are at threat level- red- impending danger. And we have been for some time now. In this season it is crucial that we find ourselves in the face of God crying out for the healing of our land. It’s not a black or white, democratic or republican problem; it’s a Church crisis and we must take responsibility for what’s happening in our world today. It all starts with prayer!
Before I go into the full significance of this word, let me preface it by saying that I am not a gloom and doom preacher but I am a seer and watchman. I don’t have a word every day or every week, but when God does give me a Word I will speak that which I have seen and/or heard. My husband and I have been decreeing, declaring and warnings the body of Christ through dreams, visions, words of knowledge and wisdom (future events) for close to 40 years now. The Holy Spirit reminded us that He had used us in this way many times in the past to warn the Church of the impending dangers to come or shifting in the spiritual climate; ex.: Dessert Storm, Y2K-false fear, September 11 Terrorist Attack, Stock Market Crash, Housing Market Crisis, corruption in government being exposed, and even President Obama and Trump being elected to office, etc. In some cases years before they‘ve happened. In some cases, only months before destruction stuck or events transpired. Judge the word for yourself and hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to the church.
With that being said; here’s the interpretation of what I believe I heard…
Is 58:1-12 (Read the whole chapter for a clearer picture of what the Lord is saying)
Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God. Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not: Wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours…”
Joel 2:1- (Again read the whole chapter)
“Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound the alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord comes, for it is near at hand…”
Then lastly, II Chronicles 7:14
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
3 Simple principles we need to follow at this hour:
Humble ourselves – Come let us bow down. Lay down our pride and ask Jesus again to teach us to pray. Pray and seek his face – as a body of believers we must return to that secret placeTurn from our wicked ways – Repent. Revival or renewal will not come without repentance
